After the brit-milah
The care to be given to the child after a brit-milah is simple. R’ Eliyahou will give parents all the practical information so that this care allows a rapid healing. If necessary, he will move himself (see the visit page). He also recommends a control visit one to two months after the milah.
The end of the ceremony… Once practiced the brit-milah, it is customary to organize a reception (se’udat mitzvah) and the mom thanks D.E.U. (reading the gomel – if she did not do it after immediately after the brit).
Other ceremonies will follow punctuating the life of the young child:
* redemption of the first-born son – one month
* the haircut (‘halake) –
* the delivery of the mapa (Alsatian custom)
