During the brith-milah

Even if they come from a practicing family, the parents of a newborn are not specially informed about the conduct of the brit-milah ceremony. They would often like to know more about what is happening while they entrust their child to the mohel to be prepared for this major event in the life of a family, to understand the different stages and live it more intensely.

R’ Eliyahu Bakish explained in other chapters of this site what the mitzvah consists of and the stages of the ceremony (see MITZVAH tab). In this chapter, he states:

what are the actors (baby, parents, mohel, sandak, assembly)?
What are the special prayers that have been recommended by our Sages?

AFTER
The care to be given to the child after a brit-milah is simple. R’ Eliyahou will give parents all the practical information so that this care allows a rapid healing. If necessary, he will move himself (see the visit page).  He also recommends a control visit one to two months after the milah.
